Ingredients and Nutrition
Many other mithai brands claim to be sugar-free. How is ROHIT’S different?
Many mithai brands labeled sugar-free still contain milk, which contains sugar in the form of lactose, and use dates, honey, agave, maple syrup, jaggery, or other similar sweeteners which, at the end of the day, still contain sugar. Finally, many mithai brands are still high in carbohydrates, which the liver converts to glucose and can spike blood sugar.
So what makes ROHIT’S different? We did a side-by-side comparison for you:
Nutrition Info:

Our labels all say “no added sweeteners” because we don’t add any. It’s that simple. The ingredients we use are naturally sweet and flavorful, so we don’t need to make them sweeter.
Your calories per piece do not match per serving. Why?
The FDA requires any food manufacturer to round calories up to the closest interval of 10. For integrity, we always round up our calories per serving on the labels, even though our burfi’s calorie count is often lower per piece.
Why don’t you use chickpea flour or rice flour in your products?
One of our main goals at ROHIT’S is to develop products that have little to no impact on blood sugar levels. Chickpea and rice flour are full of carbohydrates, so instead, we use ingredients like almond flour because we want our mithai to be low-calorie and rich in protein and flavor.
Is your mithai vegetarian?
Yes! Because of the cultural and religious significance of mithai, all our products are strictly vegetarian.
Do you use artificial sweeteners?
No! We only use natural sweeteners. You won’t find any synthetic ingredients or artificial sweeteners on our labels.
What is keto?
Numerous studies have shown that the ketogenic diet significantly reduces carbohydrates while cutting out sugar helps prevent blood sugar from spiking, which has a positive effect on those with Type 2 diabetes.
Are your products keto-friendly?
We love keto, and most of our products contain between 1-3 net carbs per serving, so they neatly fit under the 50-carbohydrate daily limit of many keto lifestyles.
How do you calculate net carbs?
Yay! Math!
Net carbs = carbs - fiber - sugar alcohols - allulose*
(*allulose is a natural sugar alternative)
Does “sugar alcohol” mean that Rohit’s product contains alcohol?
Glad you asked! Sugar alcohol does not contain ethanol (the critical ingredient in alcoholic beverages). It’s a bit of a food chemistry misnomer because the chemical makeup of sugar alcohol resembles the chemical makeup of ethanol. In short, no, ROHIT’S does not contain alcohol.
So, where does the sugar alcohol come from?
We use stevia as part of our sweetener blend. Stevia passes our ingredient standards because it’s derived from plants, and doesn’t add calories or raise blood sugar or insulin levels (or alcohol).
How is your mithai so low in calories?
We don’t use any synthesized ingredients or artificial sweeteners, but we do include protein and fiber. Because we replaced the sweetening factors in mithai with natural sweeteners, and most of the carbohydrates with protein and fiber, we’ve achieved a calorie count as low as 60 per serving.
What are better-for-you products?
Better-for-you (BFY) products are quite literally those that are better for your health. They are low in fat, salt, and/or sugar and high in fiber, protein, or vitamins. We think they taste better too.
Allergies

Do your products contain soy?
